The drummer (Vlad to those of us that love him) Is a classically trained pianist and is the only member of the band with any formal music training. He taught himself the drums when the band he was in as guitarist prior to Jinjer couldn't find anyone to fill that role. Tatiana is fully self taught and is the BEST at switching from cleans to growls. Eugene has taken bass playing to a new level, wait until you hear some of his brilliant bass runs. Roman is a criminally underrated guitar player. The whole band are supremely talented and skilled musicians. 💓 Jinjer, power from Ukraine!

So nice when a reactor gets over the shock and pays attention to the whole band 👍

Man, not enough reactions realize how great the drums are in this song. They're so tasteful.

I just saw Jinjer live in Boston about a week ago and I verify that is her real voice! Her name is Tatiana and she is the queen of scream/growl harsh vocals, but she also has a great clean singing voice with fantastic tone and control.

This video was made to showcase their new drummer Vlad. It also catapulted their band’s recognition into the stratosphere. They’ve had several lineup changes throughout the years and in fact none of them are founding members of Jinjer.

They are from Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, where the fighting started in 2014.
The band is Jinjer, her name is Tatiana, and yes, that is all her. Some post production, but that is her.
This live session took off because of her, but it was done to showcase Vlad on drums, who had joined not long before this. Vlad is classically trained on piano, has jazz in his background, and is self taught on drums. He, Roman(guitar), and Eugene (bass) are all awesome musicians.
The usual follow up to see her do it live is, Perennial live at Wacken 2019.

✨✨ You have just got a little teaser for what to explore. Next 2 tracks must be "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019 and "Wallflower" official video. After that - you are ready for more heavy tracks - but you will be blown away by their musicianship!

It's probably one of the best metal songs ever written seriously the whole composition. Also, the lyrics are powerful and emotional that really hits you.

When I first saw this video, I was not surprised by Tatiana's vocals because I had already heard a few Jinjer songs (Teacher, Teacher was my introduction and is still my favorite) plus I have been a fan of Arch Enemy for years. Like you I was impressed by the musicianship but I was also extremely impressed by Tatiana's lyrics to this song. Tatiana is not just in the top 5 of female metal vocalists but she is, in my opinion, one of the best lyricists in metal, male or female.

This song is about duality, hence the name, and the sound. Tatiana and the band are amazing!

All hail Queen Tati! This band is truly skilled and talented. (All of the members) They don’t make a bad song! Great reaction!

This is a masterpiece of hard metal. Performance, editing, singing, instrumental, atmosphere. This piece is like a pyramid; starts wide, smooth and fully tapered to the peak along the way !

As many have noted before me, "Musicians for Musicians", sometimes it takes musician to appreciate the talent of these young rising stars.
Thank you for your commentary and reaction, I love to hear the comments from someone that knows music, instruments, and composition.
I have my more favorite and less favorite Jinjer songs, but all are worth listening; hope you continue your Jinjer Journey.

Cheers,
JT

I saw them in concert a few weeks ago and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Such talented musicians!

😂 I knew what was coming and was just waiting for your reaction! 😄
The part with the ”scream” fascinates me, but what I like the most is the calmer parts where I like the melody, harmonies and the warm tone of it all.

Welcome to Jinjer. That's all Tatiana for you. Perennial live at Wacken shows her talent well.

I have "grin" in my face when i see someone watching Jinjer (in a good way) because always they are dropping jaws to the floor

I particularly like the way the mellow sections really get across the "underwater" feel, as Tatiana sings about being a fish.
