Hide Alerts??? How in the world did this get turned on for some contacts? Thank you soooo much! I've watched several videos and have read other info for several days, and this is the first time I received the answer I needed. Can't thank you enough.

Mine was on 'Hide Alerts' for an individual, I didn't even know that was an option!! Much appreciated.

I went through all of your suggestions and for me it ended up being an issue with the settings. Once I reset my phone, the problem was corrected. I watched several other tutorials and none of them mentioned the reset. Thanks so much, I was driving myself crazy trying to
figure out what the problem was!

Thank you!!! My husband’s phone wasn’t pinging when I texted him but was when everyone else texted him. Somehow hide alerts was toggled on for me. Simple fix thanks to you! Google didn’t help me but you did!

Thank you the first thing you mentioned was the problem. My alert bell was red and I tried every combination know to man in my settings to fix it. I'm not sure how that button got pressed to mute the world, but it happened. Thanks again for the video, I was about to turn into one of those old people that need their kid to fix their phone..lol and I'm not ready for that ..yet

One more thing to check - the Do Not Disturb settings! That was it for us!
