I have been 3d printing for a few years and I love it. Bambu has reusable spools which are great because you can just buy a refill for quite a few of their different filaments. More often than not though, you will get plastic or cardboard spools of filament, from other companies, that can not be reused the same. They can be reused for different things though. My wife has a bunch of skeins of yarn that were unraveling and getting tangled so we have started winding them on the empty plastic spools. We don't have one but I have seen quite a few people talking about how they wrap their yarn onto the empty spools to use with their knitting guns. They just put the spool onto a peg and away they go.

I got my son a 3d printer a few months ago. After he taught me a few things, I started printing things myself too. I'm in the process of printing a circular sock machine right now from a file I found online. Can't wait until it is done and I get everything assembled with the few parts I did need to buy.

Resin 3D printers waste almost as much bad they use! That waste amount is extremely tolerable, but I REALLY appreciate that you showed it.
This printer looks absolutely perfect for what I need plus I can make some nice things for other people and around the house, too. 👍🏻

If I had one, which I won't ever, I'd make my own plastic templates and rulers without lines. For example, I'd love to have a 12.5" plastic template to cut out squares for my Sunbonnet Sue quilt. But the square would have a slot for my rotary cutter so that my hand doesn't veer off.
