Voted best looking SUV on the back of a flatbed! 😀

Reliability has been pretty good, with the exception of the suspension fault lights, coolant fault lights, and the radio deciding to not work within the first month. 😂 Love you guys.

“The reason we bought this (Land Rover) was because of reliability...”

3 vehicles later. Give up.

I’m quoting here .... “it kinda lives in its own space”
So far that “space” has been the dealership’s maintenance bays.

I’d love to see you guys purposely pack on as many miles as you possibly can so we can get a real reliability review at the end of the year before you sell it. Shoot for 40k!

This defender is the best online advertisement for Toyota SUVs I’ve ever seen.

I’ve done 10, 000 km in my new Defender 240 S 2 Litre twin turbo diesel in New Zealand taking it off road extensively on many demanding tracks. It has been faultless so far with 6 months ownership. It is fast and powerful on road with great road holding on our twisty windy roads. The interior is well designed, great materials, lots of USB ports, charging points etc and we find the touch screen quick and easy to use as are the off road programs ‘ mud & ruts’, ‘rock crawl’ etc. we love the vehicle and it’s all round capability. It is a big truck bigger than our Landcruiser V8 turbo diesel. The Defender is 400kg lighter than the Toyota Landcruiser so has about a 400 kg greater payload which is very useful, it’s much quicker and far more economical than the TLC and has the same 3500 kg towing capacity.
The only two things I don’t like about the new Defender are the touchy over servo’d brakes but you soon get used to being more gentle with the brake pedal, but the servo assistance is just right when towing heavy loads. The second dislike is the lack of wide angle cornering headlights. When night driving on narrow wing roads or off road tracks all you see is a ‘dark hole’ about 45 to 90 degrees to the side of the vehicle made worse by ones eyes been bright light adapted to the otherwise powerful low/ high beams. The difficulties fitting front recovery hooks and the high cost of fitting the LandRover supplied winch and mounting kit are a disappointment. Overall, though the new Defender is a joy to own It seems very rugged and well built. It’s air suspension gives it a luxurious ride like the RangRover and it’s class leading off road ride height and front/rear and ramp over angles are well documented on many YouTube blogs.
It’s light years ahead of the old Defender in nearly all aspects

I know it’s not your experience but I’ve had Land Rovers for 15 years and Toyota for 12 years prior to that. All have been maintained as per the book and I’ve never had anything fail apart from a suspension compressor on the Disco 3, and it warned me so I got home. That’s pretty good considering the near 400, 000 miles covered and three quarters of that in LR products. I love them. 😊

One design feature that drives me crazy is that C pillar. I drive by one of these on the way too work and I always think it still has the window sticker on it, but it's just the giant C Pillar.

I’ve had my defender x for almost a year. It’s currently at 9, 754 miles! No issues, knock on wood. Once I buy a Land Rover, I can’t go back.

What Fast Lane Car:
Hates: "It is not going to be the last Defender that we buy in a short time."
Loves: "It is not going to be the last Defender that we buy in a short time."

I shouldn't be hearing "Warranty" so much in a 2020 Vehicle video

Coming from a native British bloke, though I would naturally be a little biased in favour of the Land Rover, two issues I can't get past. One is value for money - It is very expensive once you have added 'normal' equipment. Second is Reliability - This is across the entire JLR range. I love the capability and the styling of Land Rovers/Range Rovers is usually brilliant, but owning one just causes me too much anxiety.. A wonderful car soon becomes a horrible car if it starts letting you down...

Haven’t heard anything in a minute about this, I naturally assumed it was broken again.

Land Rover and reliability in the same sentence.

Thought I was watching a comedy show.

Brakes do take getting used to, that’s because of the system that recovers energy from the brakes, but once you do, they work really well. And that’s another reason to get the P400 - which comes with a 4 piston setup. 2 piston setups like on the lower model, doesn’t cut the musterd.

Concur with other comments about reliability concerns and you guys probably have the most experience. If you guys - not necessarily easy on trucks - like these things, then I think I'll roll the dice and try it. Love the fact you guys have done multiple reviews. Really appreciate it.
