Biden wins South Carolina, hopes for Super Tuesday momentum

Joe Biden has won the South Carolina Democratic Primary, securing almost half the votes, with Bernie Sanders coming a distant second with about 20 per cent.
Biden’s victory may give him the momentum he needs going into Super Tuesday, when 14 states head to the polls.

Al Jazeera’s Andy Gallacher reports from Columbia in South Carolina.

I'm an Australian. I lived and worked in South Carolina. In fact also North Carolina and West Virginia too. Its weird. Its like you took the set of the movie Deliverance and made it real life. Biden brags that he got 60% of the black vote there. But Black Americans now only comprise 13% of the population, so Joe, don't get too confident. The candidate that wins the latino vote will become the next president. They are now the biggest population segment at 47%.
