Doug is the kind of guy who wiggles his fingers, and says "don't mind if I do" upon seeing an open box of donuts.

I think the more old-school aspect of this truck will attract certain truck buyers that still enjoy that. Interesting that it's using a similar styled front door "cut-in" similar to the F150 for better visibility.

2:45, honestly I like the old style shifter, the new ones they have on cars are just weird looking and work differently from car to car

As a truck guy, I approve of the old school tech in this. It’s rugged and practical. A lot of new trucks seem like I’m driving a minivan or a sedan…

I agree with Doug, I definitely think this is the best looking of the modern midsized trucks. There's one on a road I drive fairly regularly and I always find myself glancing at it as I drive by.

FYI: the "new" frontier actually sits on a modified version of the old frontier's frame. I guess if it isn't broken, don't fix it. The engine and transmission are carry overs from the 2020 frontier on which they debuted. The steering wheel is from the Titan, not the pathfinder.

For how terribly outdated the dashboard looks, I like the fact they incorporated a hard button to dim the main screen. So helpful when driving late at night rather than having to find it somewhere within the settings

The old school feel is exactly what I love about these. I worked at Nissan during the development of these and I instantly fell in love the first time I drove one. Its not the most technolgically advanced or sophisticated but in a world of high tech appliance cars, I find this so refreshing.

As someone who owned a 2007 Nissan Frontier se 4x4, I have used and abused this truck with almost 200, 000 miles. It’s such a great truck and I’m honestly considering a brand new one soon because of this! Truly great trucks compared to the competitors

This is my dream truck, I have an older frontier and I absolutely love it. I love the rugged body on frame style. To me it’s the way a truck should feel. Reminds me of the old Toyota and Nissan trucks from the early 90s, small but sturdy and well built

I love the transmission shifter. It works well, no need to change it.

For all its outdated and new features, they did get one area right. They didn't upgrade the touch screen area into a massive glass panel with no physical buttons, proven to be both distracting for drivers and a safety hazard when pure touch screen. Props for that, it is, after all suppose to be a practical pickup.

I traded my 2011 Frontier for this one, and man, let me tell you, this thing is leaps and bounds better than the older model. So much quieter, and the suspension is way better. As a short guy, the 2 inches higher bed sucks. haha! I can't reach things very well, anymore. Also, the turning radius is much improved! The old one was like turning around in a WW2 battleship. I like the noise of the engine. Yes, I want that! I want to feel like I'm in a truck. The start button is in a weird place, and you have to get used to it, but mine also has remote start, which is a huge plus here in the PA winters.

This is officially my new favorite smaller truck. Seems like the perfect blend of new and old school! The price is a bit much, but that’s the way the market is right now.

Not everyone wants a Smartphone to drive around.

18:25 you're exactly right Doug. Im so tired of swoopy crossovers and previously off-road cars going the way of the family like the Pathfinder. All those old school truck features and feeling make this more enticing to someone like me who sees a truck as a means to an end not the end in itself.

Will he notice the Porsche that appears at 18:06? YES…at 18:16. He doesn’t miss a beat in his conversation while micro scanning it like a terminator. True car guy!

Doug nailed it. I traded my 19 sr 2wd 4 cylinder tacoma for a 22 pro4x. I love the added tech and the look. I also love the fact its a truck. It has the creature comforts I enjoy but I also feel like I'm driving an acrual truck because, well... I like trucks.

I bought a 2022 Frontier exactly because of the reasons Doug said. It does feel old school. It feels like a truck, And thats exactly why I love it,
