Post-Uli, I'd have to say that the first two albums with Matthias - "Lovedrive" (1979) and "Animal Magnetism" (1980) are just masterpieces. 40-some years later now, and I never get sick of listening to them. They're timeless, classic hard rock.

Animal Magnetism is such an intimate and beautiful album. I first got the chance to listen to it as a 16 years old in 90's! Enchanting, even now!

My first Scorpions album - it changed my musical life immediately- introduced me to the band then I bought Virgin Killer, In Trance and Taken By Force before Blackout came out. By then, I then found Michael Schenker Group, UFO and then bought Lonesome Crow, Fly To The Rainbow and Lovedrive before Love At First Sting came out. Now I consider Michael Schenker/UFO as my favorite, then Uli.era Scorpions a close second!

As a young 15 year old Guitarist just starting AM was a great record that helped me get Riff playing and some speed develop in my early playing . Make It Real, Don't make Promises and the 1st Scorp song I learned The Zoo !!!
