Whenever I see a Missing Man flight, I can't help but think about the meaning behind the maneuver. The fact that the one plane who leaves the formation represents the departed ascending to the other side, an angel forever watching over us.

This is so sad. I live in pensacola. We love our blues. We think of them as family. We all felt this loss. Rip kooch

One of our best. Never in trouble, flawless record. Lots of hours in the sky. A professional in every sense. I wonder why he forgot to sign off before he left. A shame too because apparently he was under the weather. So sick he just started doing some strange things. Man..It's crazy someone was filming. Weird it was behind a tree. And the video cuts out for a sec but for the most part we got to witness a true hero killed I'm battle. Flying too low, going too fast plus bad weather, he was sick, and he forgot to sign off. So bizarre. And we got to witness first hand behind a tree the whole thing at 3 o'clock how the 6th Jet refused to eject. True hero

This is honestly the saddest thing ever. And I’ve seen Marley & Me.

So many jets destroyed in the last couple years. And another on the same day.
