I’m curious how HR and hiring managers view the PNPT, I don’t see and jobs listing it. I took the GRC and detection engineering course before and they were awesome for knowledge. Currently info sec analyst, I think I want to stay blue but I like learning what I’m defending against

planning to sit for PNPT in 2 minths. What is the difference between pjpt and PNPT? as I skipped pjpt. I have blue team experience specifically in architecture & engineering.

dude a lot of people get stuck on the osint portion. i'm kinda anxious about it. I've also heard that the wordlists that they give you doesn't contain the correct password + the tools often doesn't give correct output (correct/required flag) and you have to try manually. What did you do in your case?

Did you pass this on the first try? I don’t have any experience aside for 10 years Law enforcement and security + which I don’t see helping here (aside for investigations aspect.. maybe) But I thinking rip the bandaid off and go for it, if I fail, then I got another attempt, but I never did anything like this before so I am a little nervous but trying have the thought of having fun with it at the same time. I did finish the course and took good notes so I hope that’s what I need to get through this!

Doesn’t even seem possible to pass thru external portion of exam. I’ve tried the wordlists, breach-parse.sh, etc even was able to confirm the correct emails when enumerating in smtp. Identified portals etc. not sure how everyone is skating thru it.

Congrats my man. I've been studying for a bit of time but am sort of intimidated.. thinking about scheduling my exam for 2 weeks out and cramming. Any cert your going for next? You mentioned blue team being your XP.. is the goal to switch over to the dark side? (Red team) cheers!

Great review my friend! I am preparing to take this exam and although I have finished all five courses and spent time on THM I don't know if I'm ready. Was there anything that made you feel ready to take this exam?
