Sam was literally like in the next building over from the World Trade Center on 9/11 and witnessed the whole thing. I think this is a classic example of time distortion in memory. Vsauce has an excellent video explaining this phenomenon called “illusions of time” on YouTube. Everyone should watch it! The dinosaur fact blew my mind.

Anyways It’s kinda like how my mom will say “yeah 30 years ago. In the 70s.” When 30 years ago was the mid 90s. Adults process time differently as time passes and it leads to very understandable lapses and oopsies.

I personally live in an area where a lot of people have flowers at the front of their yards. When I walk my dogs, I try to move them so they don’t use the flowers as a toilet, but my whole point for walking them is so they can pee. Especially when we didn’t have a fenced in yard.
