I returned the DJI Osmo Mobile 6

The DJI Osmo Mobile 6 is a SICK travel gimbal. But I wanted to mention the reason why I returned it and what I hope to see if a future release! Everything from the Mexico trip was shot on my iPhone 14 Pro using the DJI Oslo Mobile 6 (except the front facing jet ski shot).

PSA: PLEASE READ-
While holding the trigger DOES keep the phone level to a degree, the gimbal isn't capable of angling beyond that degree, the tilt motor angles from -101.64º to 78.55º and the manual selfie stick gives the extra 90º tilt. Even if you hold the trigger it will only angle to its maximum degree of 78.55° which isn’t very much. I should have shown this in the video, apologies if it wasn’t very clear.

Man, so grateful for this review. The range of motion would have been a terrible surprise! I returned this upon delivery and ended up ordering the Hohem MT2.

You can either change the mode the gimbal is running on before you film certain things or hold the trigger as you do that movement. Holding the trigger goes into “horizon lock” and the phone will not move up and down

The much improved OM6 is awesome for me. Capable ease of use and small enough to carry along anywhere. Every product has their limitations, it’s the user to adapt and make it works.

I concur with the tilt lock limitations - i thought i had a faulty unit till i came across your video - thou i tend to now find holding the gimbal handle like holding on to a bike handle helps with the push in framing effect, negating the need to manually tilt the rod head.

I bought one two months ago(osma mobile 6). And I didn't use it much. But unfortunately, the new device rotates automatically in all directions. And when I press the button on the back of the gimbal, it returns to the first state. dji does not respond to any emails. And unfortunately there is no dji for service anywhere.
