It’s a little hard to get aid in when the government is hostile to most groups that would help and around every corner is a potential IED.

the world doesn t owe anyone anything. I am afraid of people who think they are owed something. they cannot handle in disappointment and will lash out over time. despite that we should try our best to help the people in Syria, especially in the rebel areas and particularly the Kurds.

I agree that Syria needs help but there is a lot of violence there. If I was going to the region to help I would prefer to go help Turkey.

Syria Should remember who about who runs the country and what they have done and threats to the world plus the activities they've been involved with in Ukraine You were constantly being attacked by the Russians Do they not think they should ask the Russians for Assistance and help And assistance in many wise In June August has to be changed his mind and the hand of friendship should be put out there more than threats

I feel his pain, but Islam makes countries like Syria almost pointless to help because aid workers going in there would face attacks from extremist groups and even if the country was rebuilt totally it’d be about a week before Islamic sectarian violence led to another war.

As far as I understood, aid tried to get in but on one side Turkey was blocking it and on the other, the Syrian government

Sad to say the leadership ignored world opinion and slaughtered more of its own people than died in this tragic quake. Clean up your own S... before you ask us to help, we can and will if you do.

TBF most victims would die within 72 hours from lack of water and exposure. That just is not enough time to get serious equipment halfway around the world and dispersed to many locations over a large area. I hear Turks complaining about the lack of help from their government but again when thousands of buildings collapsed they can only get to so many. Having said that I have no info on how much or how little effort the government put in.

Maybe Syria's population can change their politicians? Maybe their politicians can get help from Russia? It seems Syria's politico's have turned their back on their population.

I don't blame Syria, it's disgusting, understandable at the same time, I'm picking resources around the world are starting to be stretched thin. So many disasters and conflicts happening at once. Unfortunately Syria gets left last, there might not be enough people.
