I really admire your teaching skills and trying hard to explain complex things. But in this video I found few misinterpretations.
And at 6:26 TA gate pulse given and at that time also Diode is present in circuit but you have not shown in the diagram. At that point it self heavy positive current goes to main Thyristor cathod and it will be turned off.

and another possible thing is as L and C are series the resonant current will become equal to iT1 and iT1- iTL will goes below iTh. then thyristor will be turned off naturally.

Sorry if am wrong and please correct me.
