Possibly the most lush and elegant opening ten seconds of any song ever

To all those who "didn't get it", with this album, listen again. It's too deep to be deciphered but too beautiful to miss. Joni goes places where only a very few can follow.

When Joni got jazzy, she went all out!  I'd love to play this in my car as I drive through Laurel Canyon!

i love you Joni, John Guerin has always been one of my favorite drummers, the two of you really were so beautiful together, you can feel and hear the love, so sensual and beautiful, i'm also a child of the water, as you put it, a water freak, court and spark and the hissing of summer lawns make me feel as though i'm floating on a beautiful beach in Thailand, Greece or the Outer you so much, thank you for being the magnificent woman you are and are still

If I am afforded the luxury of cognizance when death comes calling, this is the album I  want to hear playing.

just listened to Tina Turner do a great rendition, then went back to this to realize how absolutely amazing she is telling that story in song.

This song paints a perfect picture of Edith. Only Joni Mitchell can create such poetry... such passion. Her ability to touch the soul and the heart of the things she writes about is pure artistry and is only an extension of this exquisite woman. Joni thank you for sharing with us, your fans, your incredible gifts that have influenced so many in the world of artistry, music and prose. We love you and are so grateful for the writing, singing, painting.... even to the unique tuning of your fabulous guitars. Your infamy will go down in history as one of the greatest song writers that has ever lived.
