This is one of my favourite dnb tracks. The beats are perfect, the melody, the drums, the bass... And the lyrics man. If you close your eyes and listen to this... Some magic shit will happen. It's so good.

The happiest moment I've ever experienced, happened while this song was playing. For that, I'll never forget it.

Picture this. I've spent my whole life dealing with depression, social anxiety, and a deep sense of discomfort in my identity. I went with my family to an adult weekender at Butlins, only a couple months ago, and for the first time I found myself able to fully, completely let go in the club.

I'd spent the weekend exploring my identity - presenting feminine on the first night, masculine on the second, and somewhere in between for the last. An androgynous style. That weekend marked the first time I was ever able to look in the mirror and see me - the real me - and I looked *good*. I already suspected that I'm gender fluid, but that weekend just confirmed it for me.

It's Sunday night, the last night before we leave. It's nearly the end of the night - just one more set to go - and my sister and I go to the club, and meet up with some other members of the family while we're there. Judge Jules is at the deck, playing one incredible song after another, and the sense of sheer, unadulterated joy is growing with every song. Multiple songs that had deep, personal meanings to me came up, driving that happiness to maximum levels.

At one point, I sobered up for a second. Looked around, felt the first tinges of anxiety that night... but then I looked properly. We were gathered in a loose circle, and it hit me that they had all made space for me. I was in the middle of the circle, and because of that, I didn't have the chance for claustrophobia or anxiety to get to me, because in that moment I was surrounded by my family. I don't know if that was deliberate, what they did, but it filled me with so much love, so much happiness that they'd do that, subconscious or not.

"This is your place", the world seemed to be saying. "Welcome home."

Judge announces that the night is coming to a close, that there's only time left for one more song. And we're disappointed, sure, but the night's still young. And then this song comes on.

"Even though the dancing's done, don't worry 'cause the night is young.
Who cares where we go? We're ready for the afterglow"

Everything hit me in that moment. Joy had climaxed into pure euphoria. There I was, looking good, feeling good, surrounded by people I love. And this song. This damn song, which has been with me all through my teenage years, is speaking to me on such a deep, spiritual, *intimate* level, that even now I still can't think about the memory without crying. Something that's never happened to me before.

And, finally, I understood what it felt like to live.
