I never tried, tempted, or even felt like sleeping while listening to your music. When l listen to your music, it’s always on a travel road, a 700 mile road, leaving my family back, to go to the city that I work at and make a living in. The feeling of that is always sad and disgusting. It’s a job I push myself into so that I can provide for the family that I have left behind, and the existential angst of that is perfectly incapsulated by your music. It is what I listen to when I’m on those roads.

I have been listening to you since 2006. You were a great companion of mine, so keep the magic.

Love In The Void is my album of the year, with Slowdive's "Everything Is Alive" coming in at #2 and Peter Gabriel's I/O approaching #3. When I was at the Slowdive concert this month, I was wearing a Hammock shirt and strangers at the show came up to me just to tell me that they too were Hammock fans. Love In The Void has helped get us through a pretty tough year and I just want to say thanks for creating this piece of art that manages to answer the question of how to find grace within the chaos of the world. LITV is the sonic manifestation of a roller coaster ride of emotions we've all been on recently.

One of my favorite moments on the record is in the last few measures of Release, we’ve been building up throughout the whole song and one of the final additions to the crescendo is we get these big, boomy, echoey snare hits (or whatever percussion it might be idk) on 2 and 4 that seems to spread across eternity, boy. And then silence
