Well said boss. Since I watched your video telling us not to tranpose. I've been putting in the work. We really need to learn all keys as keys players honestly. It is worth it in so many ways.

While I don’t agree with this statement, I thank you for the other video you did on no transposing. Since that day, I’ve been playing majority music of my Sunday service without transposing. No yet gotten the confidence to try it at my gigs though🙈. But at least, we’re moving forward. Thanks a lot

Since i watched your video where you posted, how to stop transposing by using transpose, i really got to work... Giving myself a challenge to play in all keys without transpose before next year, at first it wasn't easy but now am able to play in different keys, it remains just 3 keys for me to master. Great catch there. Also an add on is for us keys players to also double check the key of the song regardless of seeing the fingers of the keys player in the music video to avoid embarrassment.

Well, the blame shouldn't just go to the keyboardist that transposed, every musician should get to his or her instrument and play along with the song just to be very sure, no matter how simple the sing may be.

Goes to the singers as well listen to the original version of the song not only the one from the different artiste/minister

So for those who can read this ~ practice on an actual grand or upright piano - learn ALL 12 keys. Imagine rehearsing with your choir on a song where have transposed only to get to the church and what they have is a grand piano. Do the hard work now.

The essence of playing in church or engaging in gospel music is to glorify and praise our Father in Heaven. If that is the goal, does it truly matter whether one transposes or not? The primary aim should be to nurture musicians to be spirit-filled, rather than solely “skillfully-filled.” While having both is ideal, prioritizing skill over spirituality can be dangerous.

I know a renowned musician in Ghana who plays only in the key of C, yet the atmosphere he creates, even with a single note, is nothing short of awe-inspiring. That level of anointing and impact should be our focus, not simply mastering all keys without spiritual depth or spiritual connection.

Ultimately, we should strive for a balance: skill refined by a heart that is tuned to God. Without that, even the most technically proficient performance can feel empty. Let’s aim for music that transforms and uplifts, led by the Spirit.
