I remember in the book that Dumbledore admits that it was mistake to have Snape mentor Harry in Occlumency, especially admitting, "some wounds run too deep for the healing", he thought at first Snape was capable of overcoming his hatred of Harry's father.

People joke about this being Snape torturing Harry. I beg to differ. While he has tried to save his life on a few occasions, this is the only time Snape expressed public concern for the kid.

In the book he asks Snape why he refers to Voldemort as the Dark Lord when only Death Eaters do so and I never understood why the line wasn't in the movie. It might be my favorite line from the whole book series.
