Fist of the Condor is Marko Zaror’s ultimate expression of his own personal martial spiritual philosophy in much the same way that Game of Death (especially had it been completed) was Bruce Lee’s. And had the world actually ended or Marko had quit the film industry, it would’ve been a great cinematic send-off for him as was Game of Death for Bruce Lee.

My first time seeing Marko was in Undisputed III, and then I saw him in Savage Dog, since at the time I was new to Adkins and I was going through all his films up to then. For some reason I forgot about Marko until John Wick 4 came out, so after watching it I checked Fist of the Condor. And man, it's such a wonderful movie! I absolutely loved it. It reminded me of Alejandro Jodorowsky's El Topo mixed with Circle of Iron (with David Carradine; plus I got some some vibes from Kung Fu TV series from the 70s), and Cheh Chang's Shaolin Cycle. It was a wonderful experience, I'm looking forward to Marko's and Adkins's starring together in Ernesto Diaz's new film and I hope Fist will get a sequel sooner rather than later.
