I fell in love with this song so hard first time I saw this scene (5 years ago). This year, I lost my girlfriend. An amazingly wonderful girl who was incredibly talented. This was our favorite love song. She learned it on piano and ukelele for me and sent me a video of her playing it. I had a pretty similar reaction to Ted. Her name was Vienna, and she went by Vee and Flower. This song makes me think of her so much. She died back in March and I still miss her every day.

I think when you rewatch the show and see the scene where Ted is all alone and goes back to if he could meat “the mother” 45 days earlier that’s especially sad due to the fact of what happens to her.

Why didn‘t they just do 1 or 2 more seasons about Ted and Tracy‘s wedding, birth of the kids etc.? I mean we‘ve got to see more about any of the 20+ girls Ted had than Tracy, but those 8 episodes with a few minutes of Tracy each have made us love her more than any of his last girlfriends.
