New Faster HDS Gen2

Is it really as fast as advertised?

I have spent the last few days on the water, and the Sonar+Chart does not lag / pause at all on the Gen2.

The charts can be zoomed in and out regardless of traveling speed and they update almost instantaneously, even on full detail.

I know I was meant to be doing a lot more technical reviewing of the unit these last couple of days, but I was just having too much fun fishing new spots I found with the StructureMap.

It is just amazing how quick and easy it is to use.

Great video! Chart zooming is much faster than my humminbird 597.

The conventional 2D sonar source was not set up in networking when I recorded the Gen2's performance.

I will be doing a Chart+Sonar screen 'flash' test, as well as a chart (contour) only while traveling and zooming to see how fast it refreshes.

This HDS10 is running the latest firmware - 4.0.36.59.
