Very nice thorough review. One point worth making is that some people have taken to removing the rubber and safety, which allows for much better shooting in awkward places. However I agree with you that in skirting, you can do quite a bit of damage on curved areas.

It's a brilliant tool. I've fitted out an entire house of new skirting and architrave using it. But, yes, it does sound like a gun going off, and having to fill in the dents caused by the impact of the tool, is annoying. But no jams or other technical issues with the tool itself after around 6 years of considerable use. I find pushing the rear of the gun into the surface to be nailed buries the nail under the surface of the material, but that obviously causes a little damage.

Great review. A quick question. I want to stick a panelling design on a plastered masonary wall. Are nail guns deigned to be used on these kind of walls aswell? I can understand people using them on plasterboard walls

Would not recommend this model. Get the TTB516NAL if you are after a nailgun. this has a wide hammer for the staples so I found when nailing something it would leave a 3-4mm mark. Not ideal. the 516 hammer should only be as wide as the nail head

Even tho its got 32mm on it it won't fire them ive got one had it for a few years and still does not fire the 32mm

I avoid everything that is corded. The only corded tool I do recommend is metabo chaser.
