The border of ukr Russia in Kursk region would be a good place to practice with the new Russian robot army machines. It would cut off resupply and allow Russia drive into Ukraine.

Russia should stop playing nice and just take Ukraine! If it wanted to, it could take it at anytime. Remember Russia is only defending the land legally that ls Russian. That’s why Kyiv is still standing yet Ukraine and the west would have you believe Russia are trying to take the whole of Ukraine..

Heh-heh-heh. From that video one could easilly get the impression, that Putin has a contol over everything, and that he has just started a masterfull operation in Kursk. However, keep in mind, that Putin has had no high military training, so that he could plan the military operations or that he could select from several plans the most promising one. He can't do that, but he can keep up the earlier decisions so, that no attacking combat units will be transferred from the Pokrovsk front. That has been his decision, but the Kursk situation has all the time, which the Ukrainian forces have attacked there, been out of hands of the Russian local commanders. Several thousand Russian conscripts simply refused to fight and surrendered and many deserted. The alcohol problem went so bad, that big restrictions in selling it was carreid out in Kursk. The basic problem for the Russians was, that they absolutely didn't think, that the Ukrainian army could attackto Kursk and so they didn't have any realistic plan, what to follow. So everything went to pieces. When the reinforcements have arrived, the situation has improved, partly also, because the Ukrainians didn't continue the attack to the North, but concetrated to consolidate their positions instead.

What have been the reasons for this Kursk incursion ? The biggest reason has probably been to convince the Western politicians and public opinion, that Ukraine isn't doomed to lose this war. If the West could provide enough military and econimic support to Ukraine, Ukraine could reach a just peace, and not a preace dictated by Putin. This aim has been reached, and it could probably mean, that Ukraine would get more support during the next ten months that what would have been the case without this Kursk operation.

The second biggest reason has probably been to boost up the fighting morale among the Ukrainian soldiers and civilians. This has clearly succeeded and it has helped to increase the amount of recruits to the Ukrainian army.

The third reason has president Zelenskyi told to the press. By creating a buffer zone in the Southern Kursk area, the Ukrainians are trying to prevent the Russian army to fire to the Ukrainian border area.

The fourth reason has been to strengthen Ukraine's position in the possible peace negotiations, because Ukraine could use this occupied Kursk are as a trump card to change it to an Ukrainian area.

The fifth reason has probaly been to show the West, that it could let Ukraine to operate more freely with those weapons, that Ukraine has got from the West. Now the Ukrainian army has invaded to Russia proper and occupied her territory for more than three weeks without any nuclear reponse from Russia.

The sixth reason has been the will to use the Ukrainian superiority in the mobile maneuvers. It was easier to be done in Kursk than in Donetsk. In Kursk the Ukrainians could also get the situation, where the best Ukrainian elite combat units met and defieted easily the most inexperienced Russian conscripts.

The seventh reason might have been to push the Russian army out of it's planned operations and force it to weaken it's attack to Donetsk, because it had to deal with the Ukrainian threat in Kursk. So far this hasn't happen, and this might been a surprise to the Ukrainians. Putin clearly prefers capturing Pokrovsk ahead of liberating Kursk from the Ukrainian occupation. This choice has some military sense, but politically and psychologically it was a bad mistake, and it might lead to deep inside troubles in Russia.

The eight reason could have been to weaken the image of Putin in the eyes of the Russians. He could not keep the Russian people in Kursk in a secure situation, so the has to be a wrong tzar. I think, that Putin has greatly underestimated this Ukrainan Kursk incursion, and he and his political system might have pay a heavy price for that mistake.

The nineth reason was to move the battles to the enemy territory, so that the future destruction would target more that area and not Ukraine.

Currently Russia has sent roughly 6 - 7 brigades to Kursk as reinforcements. If we count those soldiers together twith those, that were there earlier, and subtract the POWS and a big amount of deserters, Russia might have now about 30000 soldiers fighting against the Ukrainians in Kursk. The Ukrainians probably have 16 brigades and seven separate battalion in Kursk, so the both forces are pretty much evenly devided. But the Ukrainians have the initiative and they are advancing in the Western Kursk and consolidating their positions. They will probably in a few days control a Russian area, which is 90 km wide and 25 km deeep. Because the Ukrainians have destoyed all those three bridges, which were located across the Seym river, it is clear, that the Ukrainians are not heading to the North of this river.

The Russian State TV has several times urged, that all available young men should enslist and protect Mother Russia. But the respond has not been very enthusiastic, although the amount of the voluntary recruits has risen somewhat. In the last contract proposal, which the Russian army published in Kursk a few days ago, the maximum age for a contract soldier had risen to 65 years. So Russia has a big manpower shortage, and the slowness, which the Russian army has shown in it's countermeasures in Kursk, proves that. If Russia would indeed be a military superpower, she would now have soldiers in Kursk and not just 30000 as now.

The Russian army has advanced near Pokrovsk, but to take over this whole city will probably be very difficult. And in less than three weeks the first Ukrainian new combat units, which consist the newly trained conscripts, will enter to the front. In a few weeks Ukraine will get a relatively big superiority on the frontal manpower. If the Western military support will be enoughly big, the large Ukrainian counter-offensive could start before the end of this year. Glory to Ukraine ! Glory to the heroes !

I come to the conclusion that Putin is Ukraine best asset . After two and a half years of special military operation he’s not managed to overwhelm a much smaller nation with something that was just going go to take Three Weeks !

And now to prove his incompetence he has appointed his personal FSB bodyguard to take charge of the Army . A man with no military training of background .

Putin at the start of his presidency swore to resolve the serious demographic problem that Russia has( 1.2 babies per couple instead of the 2.3 ) that’s needed.; by having nearly 600, 000 young men die prematurely or permanently wounded. Not to mention the 1.5 million who have fled the country to avoid conscription. Putin has destroyed any future the country may have had and it is now heading to bankruptcy.
