Don't coil up power cords or extension cables, especially with higher current draw devices like space heaters and ASICs. The coil of cables creates an induction coil that will heat up the cable. When it gets hot enough from the heat in the shed and the induction, the insulation melts and now you're looking at a possible electrical fire.

as fully electric said pending seasons Ive had good luck running up to 26-27A on a 30A circuit when it cool out. borrow a thermal camera and check everything regularly, and Id get a wifi smoke alarm too just in case. the fire balls are a great idea, but you want to be alerted quickly if something blows and the ball isnt enough.

other than that, just make sure when you run those cables to the PDU you give them some space and dont coil.

THM awesome update! Yes I know you are fully operation already but man so nice to see how you put in the hard work getting it done! and yes you can run easily each of your PDU’s to 26amps during the summer they will go up to 27amps and that’s safe for your 10awg 30amps copper circuits, your breaker, panel and main lines are normally rated for max amps continuous running 10% is perfect just don’t run more than it’s rated gauge, BTW I use mainly Altair PDUs or similar and I run them at 27-28amps for years no issues, in the internal for the PDUs supports 31amps continuous even the little thermal breaker it comes with is rated for 31amps

80% rule is just a rule of thumb. Each breaker/switch shall have a continuous operations rating. A lot of items if it says 30A you can run 30A constantly and maybe 50A for 10 seconds as an example.

interesting you had an issue with FedEx and a heavy shipment. I had a recent shipment that they only delivered a mangled empty box.

I guess if you have enough exhaust it will avoid it, but putting the rack in the middle of the floor seems like wasted space, as well as potentially re-circulating exhaust heat. Also if those legs of the metal rack aren't centered on a floor joist, seems like a lot of weight that could sag or bust through the floor. Maybe get a metal runner to put under the legs, or move it back to a joist for extra support? Also you could run the extra wire over to one side of the rack, around the shelf and down to use up excess. Looping it makes an inductive coil and can create heat. Constructive criticism!

You should flip the wire shelves, it will be easier to slide stuff in and out of the rack.
