I love this event in The Gospel. I can't begin to imagine the joy these men experienced spending this time w/our Lord as they were sad about HIS death on the cross only to realize that they had been listening to Jesus quote the Scriptures that foretold of HIM and when HE broke the bread it dawned on them that this was THE LORD. How much more joy will we experience when HE comes to gather us together to meet HIM in the clouds and be w/HIM forever ???? This world will pass away but we will endure with HIM forever. Give honor and praise to HIM who lives forever. TY Amir, we needed to be reminded of this and what's to come.

I agree with Amir; this is my biggest desire—to have heard that conversation where Jesus told them how he had been written about throughout the whole Old Testament. He also told more to the 11 when He appeared among them in the upper room that night where they were gathered behind closed doors for fear of the Jews. He opened the Scripture to them and He does the same for us.
