FIRST LOOK: 2020 Seat el-Born electric car

Seat likes to name its cars after places in Spain: el-Born is a district in Barcelona. It’s the company’s first all-electric standalone car, and will rival the likes of the Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe and BMW i3. It’s still a concept at the moment, but Seat says it’s 95% of the way there. Current Seat models all have similar interior designs as their VW siblings. If that same formula prevails for the el-Born and the VW ID.3 (which are basically the same car to be honest), then it means the VW ID.3 will have that interior too. I like it. I like it very much.

Terrible design. I saw the thumbnail and genuinely thought for half a second that this was a Tesla hatchback before I read the title. Not only is it ugly, it has zero brand identity to be even recognized as a seat. Generic Volkswagen trash, again they gave it a stupid name (El-born, E-Tron....wtf?) and designed it like a Chinese tesla knockoff.

I like the idea of electric cars but the kind of shit that's emerging from this market is atrocious. Bland, no respect for brand names, not original.
