This is the most impressive complaint I've ever heard by any passengers.

Seriously, how hard is it to just treat other people's property with respect? It's pretty fucking easy.

15 years later and I still think of this song whenever I about United Airlines.

A prerequisite to becoming an airline worker is being expelled from your high school due to continuous bullying.

Airline. If we just ignore this problem it’ll go away.
The problem: takes 10% of your company’s value as Compensation.

that's what you get when you don't take accountability and mess with the wrong person.

Damn could've paid him 3500-4k but instead you lost 800 million dollars. Another common L for the corporate world.

That was an awesome doing he wrote. He’s Canadian and I remember seeing him perform at my friend’s bar back in 2002. I think it was him and his brother or another guy anyways.

Taylor did gift him two new ones as another viewer mentioned. Plus the united song got some serious airplay in Canada back in the day.

Lots of love to all fellow Canadians. ❤🇨🇦 I’ve lived in Europe for over ten years now and I have to get back for a visit soon.

I remember when this song came out and I heard the story that led to him writing this song. I was really happy that the song got so much attention and so did the crappy customer service of United Airlines. I was even happier when I found out the guitar company replaced his guitar.

We saw this case in our "Corporate comunication" class in uni. What united did was making an administrative loop in order to tire the guy into giving up and there's lots of companys who do that and our proffessor told us that "you always have to one up those guys"

Yeah, same thing happened to my older Brother's Candy Apple Red Guitar. A beautiful acoustic masterpiece that was a gift from our late grandfather, reduced to scrap wood do to their carelessness. Despite everything he tried to do to salvage it. The people at the stores said it was beyond repair. He was devastated. That was Decades ago.

You know, it actually helps your bottom line to solve customers issues and have leeway in the case of accidents. It breeds respect and loyalty. As it stands, im never flying united again, and those lost ticket sales will add up to more than the cost of that guitar ever could.

This is why you don’t ignore a customer when it’s the company’s fault that their expensive luggage item was broken/damage because of their negligence.

they really pulled the "that's your problem" and got their ass handed to them

As long as you stay quiet and remain a nobody, corpos gonna treat you like that.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the power to reach millions of people like that.

I had united double charge my account for tickets to come home for Christmas on leave from the uk. I’d saved every penny to pay for those tickets. They put me $4k into overdraft and I ended up having to wait 2 weeks to get reimbursed. I had to take out a loan to be able to pay for food and and fuel to get back and forth to work for 2 weeks

The equivalent of like a medieval bard writing a song about a bad shopkeeper who cheated him out of his money
