3 big flaws with Shopify, firstly you can't easily filter by multiple attributes (e.g. size & colour), secondly, unless you're in the US (or Spain), the shipping options are terrible, Shopify's known about this for years, particularly for the UK but has done nothing. Thirdly, very few free apps are being developed any more. Am now looking elsewhere

Thanks for sharing your highly informative video on Shopify. I'm a wildlife videographer and would like to sell my stock footage and photos online, similar to sites like Pond5.com and Shutterstock. Can you recommend any other eCommerce solution because Shopify doesn't offer to sell digital producs like photos or videos which the customer can download directly from the server after payment was issued? Thanks.

Hi Ryan,

Good job on the video. One question: Does Shopify have an application at checkout to accommodate for real time credit card authorization? In such case, if the issuing bank or gateway declined the credit card transaction, the gateway would report that decline to the shopping cart and the shopping cart would tell the customer that his credit card declined and invite him to try again with a different credit card or just try again and make sure he enters the correct numbers this time.

Hi Doug, Thanks for the comment. Shopify does accommodate real time processing and error handling. You can set Shopify to Authorize only or Authorize and Charge and it will give the customer an entry error (expired card, not enough digits, etc.) and will also return an error from the credit card processor if one is received.

Hi Ryan - I am opening a women's boutique and need help with my POS. I would like to use Shopify because I use Apple but my accountant prefers Quickbooks. Can Shopify help me not only with online purchases but also in store purchases and help me with my tax information?  I guess my question is will I still need quickbooks POS if I purchase Shopify?

this is a great video.. however.. what do you do.. to market your products. does shopify have a clientele that you can utilize.. or do they offer marketing for you. Else its just a store like a million others.
