Jadrolinija Ferry between Bari & Dubrovnik

In September 2019, I took the Jadrolinija ferry from Bari, Italy, to Dubrovnik, Croatia, to meet my Montenegro hiking group then returned to Italy on the ferry a week later.

The ferry ticket offices are at Ansa di Marisabella which is a 30 minute walk from Porto di Bari, the ferry terminal.

Lots of passengers don’t get cabins and will be sleeping in corners and even outside on the deck. There were a lot more passengers on the crossing back to Bari including a large group of Japanese couples and a boisterous group of Italians that seemed to be having family “discussions.”

Dubrovnik has Uber! My Uber driver was also a taxi. Although Croatia’s currency is kuna, euros are accepted in Dubrovnik and on the Jadrolinija ferry.

When I returned to Bari, I wanted to catch the 9:30 Freccia to Bologna. The ferry arrived at 8 am, and despite the anxious crowd waiting for the elevator, I got to the train station by taxi with time to spare.

Happy trails!

I’m doing Bari - Dubrovnik in two weeks and this video was absolutely helpful, I didn’t know about the tickets and that it’s necessary to go to the tickets office, so, I’m now prepared and since l I’ll be travelling with a big suitcase, I should check which train station is the closest to the office, and to go after by shuttle . Thanks a lot for the info 😊🙏🏼
