No hate but oda said one straw hat will die that doesn't mean luffy's crew will die any person who inherited or wear straw hat that includes shanks too and as story progress for luffy's character development or motivation to fight to blackbeard this scenario suits perfect as we know how black beard operates in shadows most likely in unfair fight he killed shanks and than we see eye patched pirate (blackbeard)as in fight with shanks he lost his eye and wears eyepatch, the great showdown between sun god nika luffy and eternal darkness blackbeard as contras of light and dark as we know whole blackbeard crew is contrast of straw hat crew which is shake whole world. But before that luffy already become king of the pirates throw off the world government and fulfill nika or joyboy's promice to people.
