scp foundation: "we're cold not cruel"
also scp foundation: *lets a kitten starve*

Ok we all know the foundation’s mantra, “cold, not cruel”. Well that part with the kitten was just cruel. They could’ve still fed the poor thing.

Final test: have it bite someone, then stomp it to death. See if that changes anything. If it does, great. If it doesn't, oh well that's one less dangerous scp to worry about

As somebody who has had lyme disease diagnosed around 3 times, I damn all ticks to die a horrible death...

Well...this is definitely one of those times where a SCP should be completely terminated and become extinct.

The part about the kitten made me sad. Also, as someone who was abandoned and left alone, this SCP hits a bit too close to home. I hope these fleas are eradicated. No one should deserve to feel alone like this.

That's legitimatly the first SCP that I'm scared of. Most others are resulting in your death one way or another. But this.... Abomination can cause a fate worse and more frightening than death. Being forgotten, your whole existence being completely forgotten and ignored by those you've ever been holding dear.
Thanks for the nightmare and good work 🤙👍

Wow, not only is this one of the crueler experiments I've seen from them (kinda feel sorry for the D class, despite whatever they did to end up as one) but this fills me with a similar level of existential terror as the story of the false hydra (not a SCP, to my knowledge)

SCP foundation: Be cold, not cruel.
Also SCP foundation: lets make this d-class grandmother that raised him since he was 5 years old forget about his existence!

As someone with abandonment issues... this is the first scp to make me feel dread

I hate bugs. Now I really hate them even more.

This kinda makes all "hauntings" even more terrifying

I've always told myself I can survive anything as long as had my friends. This thing would end my entire existence with only a damn nibble.

What was he arrested for? He’s at his own home, the wife’s not claiming he abused her since she doesn’t know he exists, and the police don’t just arrest you for being loud. So what was he arrested for? Small details like that actually matter.

Okay... now hear me out... we should absolutely and entirely eradicate this SCP. Not because forgetting people would be really tragic or something, but because if something made me entirely stop noticing and being able to react to my doggo then I would be absolutely devastated and presumably wouldn't know why.

Don't make me forget my old pupper, she had a really rough life before I kinda stole her.

So, what if it attaches to Dr. Bright and he switches bodies? Do the effects follow him across bodies or does it stay with the body it attached to?

I lost it at that point lol.

It's anomalies like this that really get under my skin... Literally.

So did they just not test if squishing it would have some kind of effect? If the tick is the source, not the microbe in its spit like with actual Lyme disease, couldn't you at least try to give these people their lives back? How heartless can the SCP Foundation truly be that it can't or won't recognize that protecting humanity is also, by definition, protecting love and connection.
