Today we have another video in our series on compression, with Ian and Mac in the studio to bring you the Tour Striker 7 Iron. The Tour Striker design has little club face and no grooves below the sweet spot, forcing you to hit it properly for every successful delivery.

Can't thank you and the TXG Team enough! I've had a Tour Striker Pro for a few years and hit it pure but your lesson in a shallower approach and Mac's drill for not opening the face going back has completely changed the sound of my irons, increased my distance and lowered my flight. Best golf content on YouTube!

I had a couple of lessons with Adam Bazellgette in Florida 2 years ago and getting the right grooves on the right dimples of the golf ball was all we worked on. He did it with the towel behind the ball method. Twenty years ago when I played a lot of golf, virtually nobody talked about this stuff. The metrics I got from TXG during my fittings was perfect preparation for those lessons. It sure is fun getting better when everybody thinks you’ve got nowhere to go but down!

The Tour Striker and DST Compressor are two of the best training aids ever to help get proper contact through the ball

I would love to see you do a video with a high handicapper using the Tour Striker. Those with early releases would love to see how helpful it is. I have been using the Tour Striker at the range lately and it has really helped.

Love that we brought in a training aid and drill to help with compression 🙌 I've never struggled with this but have tried to help so many who do. This video series is awesome!!!

I was teeing off on a par 4 a few years ago when I noticed I had my Tour Striker 7I in the bag. After I hit my driver, I hit a 6 iron off the ground, and hit it well. Then I hit my Tour Striker 7I off the turf, hit it well and was at least 15 yards past my 6I.

Mac hits it better right handed than I do as a natural righty.

Had one of these for a few years. Tend to hit half a dozen or so balls with it when I visit the range. Really good bit of kit.

Very useful information. I have 7 & 5 striker. It’s very helpful when you do videos on training aides. Then we know if they work and how to use them.

Anxious to see what Mac would look like with both a LH/RH "PSP (Pure Solid Perfect)" iron

I hit one of those a few years ago and I could hit it solid on a mat but I struggled on grass.

I would be very curious to see some content that features corrective vs. diagnostic training aids. Aids and drills like this one (Tour Striker, towel on the ground drill, etc.) are good for showing you the mistake you are making, but I feel like on their own, they can leave the person to their own devices to figure out the corrective action to make to fix their fault, which can take a lot of time and experimentation. The PlaneMate in your other video seemed to be more in line with a "corrective" aid, along with that clicking stick that Drew had to aid in the backswing, as those "trained" a correct action. Would be curious to see more of those.
