There are so many good ideas here. In my humble opinion you could have easily made several videos with expanded some of the examples/talking points. For example, cutting the boots. To you it must seem simple but I’m thinking 1) what kind of scissors do I use 2) how do I cut them to match 3) where on the leg do I cut 4) what if I make a mistake 5) etc

My jaw dropped when you said you cut those cowboy boots! That is so cool; I would have never thought of that! This solves my no-knee-high-boots- fit-over- my-huge-calves-problem!! They look great!

I sew my own clothes but i can only second what you say about tailoring. Not only for vintage clothes but for new RTW too! People don't realize what taking in/up, switching buttons etc. can do to transform a garment and a look!!! Great video, Karen. My mother has always dressed in the men's or boys' department. She used to wear a boys white tuxedo shirt with jeans, for example.

Was having my morning coffee on the balcony and watching this video when just half way through I had to stop, couldn't take it any more... Too much fantastic inspiration and I took my bike and went to three closest charity shops! Didn't find THE 90's floral dress I've been looking for ages but did manage to find a silk button down shirt for €3! With shoulder pads that actually look good! :)
