Once you understood Norm’s comedy…he was hilarious. Definitely one of the best. RIP Norm. You are missed.

I remember seeing clips of Norm as a judge for some comedy competition, when he played into one of the contestants for a bit comparing the Bible to Harry Potter. Norm was pretty harsh in stressing that JK Rowling stated thst she was influenced by the New Testement when writing her series.

The last time SNL was actually funny...those days are long gone.

Norm met Jesus too soon, dying of leukemia. Don't be like Norm. Don't smoke. Seriously, he was funny, I liked his impersonations.

Love Norm's "weiner dog bit".
And Dating Game bit.
Also Jeopardy as Burt Reynolds on SNL.
So good.
Had a crush on him when young.
Tall and dimples!❤

He didn't clober you over the head with it? Maybe thats why he was so effective.

Actually, her son Christopher is a Christian who has worked diligently for decades to get prayer back into public schools.

I met Madalyn Murray O'hair's son William in the late 90s. He signed a copy of his book my life without God for me. He narrates the audio version of that book. It is worth listening to.

I love Norm McDonald but I wouldn’t put him in the running for greatest comedian ever. Rather I think he holds his own spot of a particular brand of comedy unique to him that was absolutely wonderful. Personally my favorite is Mitch Hedberg. Someone else around that era I don’t think got a lot of credit was Phil Hartman. Not necessarily as a comic but as a great part of TV. Sadly all of them were gone too soon.

You are correct. Norm was the greatest comedian of all time. Trump was the second greatest living comedian until Norm passed away.

Background:!O’Hair her atheist son and granddaughter were kidnapped and forced to rob funds from the American Atheists which were turned into gold coins. Then they were killed and their bodies were dismembered and burnt. The thieves were so inept they left their loot in a storage facility guarded by a cheap padlock. It was stolen by another crew who were pillaging units in the facility. Two of the kidnappers murdered the third and dismembered his body. In a final irony, O’Hair’s black sheep other son (he was Baptist) buried what remains were finally recovered. A very tawdry episode.

Interestingly enough, when Norm made this joke about O'Hair, she and two others were already dead in the Texas desert, victims of murder by a former employee.

Norm had a way of you accidentally taking a position you disagreed with. I dont know how he did that, but it's great.
