Commercial Lease Project: Change of Control Clause

The change of control clause has a whiff of unrealistic involvement of a landlord into a tenants business. There are some change of control clauses I would be okay with so long as it is primarily a notice to the landlord. But some change of control clauses allow the landlord to terminate the lease when a change of control of the tenant occurs--which can be very bad news for a change of control related to say the death of one of the owners. I usually recommend some pushback on this kind of clause.
