This compilation was a little weird to edit since most of her scenes are with the group. So I added some of those parts as well as elements of the main story to get better context on what happens to her story. I was happy to see some of the scenes she got with Sora, but I must say overall I was disappointed by how little she was used overall. I thought her being a Key Blade wielder would make her a more central character this time around, but alas, that wasn't the case.

Does anyone else feel like Kairi and Lea have this brother and sister relationship in these cutscenes? Especially when Lea has a vision of Xion.

Kairi got the short end of the stick when it comes to character development. The only saving grace was her interactions with Lea, yes the moments between her and Sora were cute, but that's just it, Kairi's character just centered around being Sora's love interest, Kairi is Sora's guiding light, they have a special bond blah blah, but what else? What about her supposed keyblade training? Look i don't expect her to be like sora, riku and the other keyblade wielders, but show us more of her fruits of training! Not just 1 second scenes of her fighting heartlesses! And can we talk about Kairi's relationship with Riku in this game? No? Oh yeah it was practically non-existent 😑 just a mention of riku wanting to be alone, the destiny trio was more of destiny duo. It's the same formula, Kairi is in danger, is saved by Sora, waits for him in destiny islands, rinse and repeat. I'm sad cause i used to like Kairi a lot but the writers keep screwing her off, I'm baffled cause Namine, Aqua and Xion were well written, why can't the same be done for Kairi? I dearly hope that Sora's disappearance will inspire her to do something in the next game rather than her waiting again.

After all these years Kairi still doesn't get the respect she deserves, Aqua's been playable thrice in the series now while Nomura doesn't care enough about Kairi yet she's literally the girl of the main Destiny Trio! She deserved to be playable but RIP.
She has a Keyblade and still isn't anything an more than a damsel, I always liked Kairi, IMO she doesn't deserve hate, but Nomura doesn't do enough with her character after several games which is really odd.

It's said sharing a paupo fruit intertwines the destinies of those who share them. When Kairi and Sora share the paopo fruit, their arms cross. The fruit is star shape, and the idea of star-crossed means doomed fate. So Sora and Kairi''s destinies are forever intertwined as a cursed destiny.

To be completely honest i was very dissapointed that kairi didnt get a whole lot of attention in this game. BUT after really thinking about these moments between sora and kairi. They felt much more stronger. Like they basically showed us that they are now closer and are practically canon? And seeing that sora is gone we might get a chance to save him next game. And yes kairi might very well get much more spotlight in the next kh games. And we might get to see just how sora rescued kairi. Am i currently dissapointed??? A little but the thought of kairi and sora potentially getting to be the main focus of the next installments just motivates me even more 😭

I really loved the Kairi and sora development. but the development of kairi herself was very small and that's still a disappointment. The wait continues...

Axel brought out more in Kairi than Riku and Sora ever did. That sibling dynamic and quieter moments bring out what's so great about Kairi; emotionally intelligent, caring, unafraid of danger, and a hint of sass on top. She's basically worthless in a fight, but that doesn't make her a useless person. I'd like to see her study magic more, or take on a more responsible role outside of combat if we're going to not have her as a warrior.

She has too much built up with Sora and Riku that its harder for them to just talk to her, where Axel and Kairi can sit around, eat ice cream, and chat. It's been greatly humanizing for her to just have the chance to sit with someone and have a normal conversation. (heck, just having this much screentime helped tremendously.) I hope this trend of expanding on her continues.

My little Sokai heart is so happy. At first, the lack of a kiss was unfortunate, but after watching these scenes multiple times it really is such a sweet relationship between the two. The Paopu fruit exchange was very gratifying. It’s just nice to see how pure their feelings are for each other — really fits their characters well. I was not expecting the emotional separation but I have to give kudos to Nomura because I figured they’d wrap more up (which they did for basically everyone else) so I’m hoping that means the next installment will focus more on Kairi and Sora.

I'll be honest when I said I got very emotional when it came down to some of Kairi's final moments at the end, which I choked up and somewhat cried like Sora in the game when f***ing Xehanort strike Kairi down. Hell I role played like if I'm actually Sora. Am I not the only one who acted that way, cause I think Sora and Kairi's relationship is so beautiful. Yeah it's ironic Kairi got the short end of the stick and was hoping she'd be playable with her own story mode like Riku, but for what it is it's alright.
