Dude. I was a little white kid in the suburbs of Florida. My parents were both from WV. My parents only listened to 80s and classic rock. I had literally never heard modern hip hop (at the time). My parents weren't shielding me, it just never came up. I asked for this game for some reason, I was very little, and they got it for me. After diving headfirst into the soundtrack I ended up getting my first CD player for my birthday and my first CD I chose to buy was DMX - its dark and hell is hot. I was in 6th grade. I just looked back and think how funny it was that my parents were like yeah sure Explicit DMX cd, no questions asked. This game literally cultured me by introducing me to new musical world. I had only. I had only known rock. Sure the game is exaggerated story wise, but I knew there was much more to it. RIP DMX.
