Her body temperature was too low to measure with the thermometers used. That does not mean she was “ frozen solid”. She had a heartbeat of about 12 beats per minute, indicating that her heart was not frozen. She was young (21) and healthy. She did suffer several areas of frostbite on her extremities that were repaired by skin grafts.

There have been enough verified reports of young healthy persons who drowned in icy water, being removed from the water with no heartbeat and no respirations, who were rewarmed and survived with no permanent brain damage that the EMTs in cold parts of the world now say “ they are not dead until they are warm and dead.” Jean Hilliard was still alive when found.

So everybody knows if you ever wreck your car in the snow and you cannot start it open the hood. There should be a button a little round button. It's black. It's usually on the left side or the right side by the battery or if it's on the left side it will be by the air filter. Always look on your car because it is a fuel safety switch when a front end gets hit too hard that switch goes off. All you have to do is press it to reset it and start your car back up. But if you do that and it doesn't start there is something more wrong. Do not even try to start it again. " Still using that? Most people don't know this. A lot of people will literally have their car towed when all you have to do is press this button and it will come back on. A lot of mechanics. Don't even tell people that that is what they do to fix a car. They'll say it was this, this, this, this this ...when they really did nothing! Other than pressing that button! So always try it before calling a tow truck.

If you live in an area with a lot of snow, you always keep blankets and an emergency kit in your vehicle during the winter. Just in case you get stuck during a snow storm.
My dad kept drilling this into my head and it's smart.
Dry food, water, dry socks, blankets, an extra coat, whatever to help you survive and not lose appendages until you're able to get home. I would say even a portable charger for your phone

Oh thank goodness. I also heard about a toddler that this happened too. (She also lived!) she is a very pretty women and im so glad she lived through that.

She obviously wasn't frozen. It's surprising how long people can survive in freezing conditions. It happens on mountain hiking routs and people can just lay in snow for days before being rescued.
