Exams disrupted in Baringo as armed bandits strike Muchongoi area

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams were disrupted in two schools in Baringo county following an attack by armed bandits. Candidates from two schools in Muchongoi area were forced to abandon their exams after gunmen exchanged fire with security forces near their examination centres. Several houses were torched and a motorbike burnt during the attack. There were no casualties reported in the two schools. The government is assuring parents and KCPE candidates in Baringo county of enhanced surveillance. Ben Chumba reports.
