How many stones away are you from Aelia Capitolina, or, as we call it, Jerusalem?
These 2000 year old stones along the Path of the Patriarchs used to mark the distance to the holy city, but the path hosted many other constructions, like the ritual pool that served as a purification location, a primary demand of anyone coming into the holy city.
