Jyotika & Mohit | Best Wedding Video | The Savoy Mussoorie | Hills Destination Sindhi Sikh Wedding

Our story-
Who knew that a curious connection request on LinkedIn could lead to a forever bond. Our identical family names and similar education backgrounds led us to become friends. We found true love during the time when people were scared to even meet their closest ones. The question was popped and the answer was a resounding Yes!
Our version of the typical “2 States” love story involved two different IIMs ( IIM Indore for Jyotika & IIM Lucknow for Mohit) as us being Sindhis don’t belong to any state and yet belong to all states of India.
Reviews:
Venue: WelcomHotel The Savoy: We got married at the breathtaking, 119 year old, Welcomhotel The Savoy, Mussoorie, swirled in the mist of time and set against a splendid backdrop of the Garhwal Himalayan range. The Savoy is an elegant hotel built in the style of English Gothic architecture. The enchanting beauty of the place is well complemented by the warm, friendly staff and lip smacking food. They went above and beyond their call of duty to ensure we all had the best times of our life. They were extremely careful following all Covid related precautions and ensured we were all safe during the entire event.
Decoration and Entertainment: Whistling Teel: Gaurav Channa's team has been the best we could have asked for. They organised our dream wedding exactly as per the mood board discussions and took it a notch above. The team knew each and every nook and corner of The Savoy, Mussoorie and effortlessly decorated the hotel in a way that enhanced its beauty. The team has a class that caters to the Millennial couple. For entertainment, it was a one man show beautifully handled by DJ Jerry whose energy and customised playlist kept us all grooving for 2 days. The entire team of Whistling Teel had everything planned to the tee.
Makeup Artist: VLCC India: We went ahead with VLCC, a name to reckon with in the beauty industry. Their team was extremely professional and highly qualified. They created looks for me (the bride) which were so unique and enhanced my natural appearance. They also did the immediate family, groom and guests hair and makeup. They worked around your budget and did such a fab job!

Events:
We always wanted an intimate wedding away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We had a fun, warm and magical 2 day long wedding fiesta with our closest family and friends (140 guests) in the lap of luxury at Welcomhotel The Savoy, the hotel where one of our favourite movies - Kabir Singh was shot.
1. Welcome Lunch and Mehendi: We kickstarted The Thawani Wedding events with a fun, colourful event to welcome our guest for the 2 day fiesta filled with mehendi, kite flying, astro card reading and other games. The theme of the event was - Mela (colourful decor with tree hangings, kettles and kites). We also did a surprise flash mob for the groom's side. We had Street foods from different countries to add the flavour to this event.
2. Sangeet: The sangeet was a moroccan themed night with lamps, metal lanterns, tassels and pampas grass in Savoy's iconic Royal Ballroom. To complement it we had oriental and mughlai cuisine.
3. Wedding: We tied the knot in a holy sikh wedding ceremony - Anand Karaj on 4th April overlooking the beautiful Garhwal Hiimalayan Range. The theme was pastels - all the pinks, peaches, yellow and reds.
4. Reception: Our closing event was an English Ballroom Themed event with a beautiful photo wall of the couple with edison bulbs and grandeur decor. The couple had an Oscar Style Entry from the chandelier staircase and exchanged their vows to solemnize their bond.
