Thank you Kate... as for wasting ... i buy too much craft supplies... but of your 7, I have to be very mindful of not wasting food... now I purposely do stir fries or salads to make sure I don't waste any produce but I also buy less (or freeze food when I get a really good sale)... The best way that I avoid food waste is to meal plan ... I can't say I don't have a small bit of wastage but planning ahead has reduced my waste enormously... and with the cost of food, who can afford to waste any of it... As for the pitfalls of credit cards... I have lived through them all but now I follow your rule and pay it off every month... I honestly only use it to get the cash back and making 60 - 75 $ a month in cash back is so much more fun that paying interest and/or late fees... never again!!!!

I don’t like getting the visa gift cards. I have no idea how to use them. They need a PIN. How do I do that? They come with fees and depreciate. What kind of gift is that? I have one now that is a year old. It’s probably empty by now.

Great video! I used to waste money on buying multiple skincare products that I wouldn't use up before buying the next. Often, they would expire and I would have to throw them out because I didn't make a point in using one up before buying another.

Ohmygosh, I used to be the Dave Ramsey "normal person" for decades!I truly thought debt was normal. After a life of financial crisis after crisis- then the ultimate crisis...divorce. post divorce I diligently followed the DR plan. 14 yrs single now on a Way lower income... I am debt free! I keep searching and learning new frugal measures to improve. I've taught myself to love and be grateful for leftovers- it's free work lunches! Now I'm narrowing it down to using up/or freezing my veggie leftovers so they don't go to waste.

I have wasted money on a gift card before as it still means I am spending money. For instance, I received a $15 gift card to a pizza place that to buy a pizza or multiple to feed my family one meal would have cost me more than that gift card. The place ended up going out of business before I was able to redeem it. I do try now to be more careful or to give away the ones I was gifted but not going to use.

Good morning - Food waste, been rough around here the last few weeks, trying to get on track again. Went to the store this morning for fruit. Cantaloupes were buy one get one half off, so my instinct was to buy two, but then I stopped, no way will we eat two. Only bought one. This morning I am going to be using up some leftovers (ground meats and cheeses primarily) to make lasagna (not a great warm temp meal but its cooler here this morning so I am going to section it for freezer meals).

I had a mortgage with Wells Fargo (now paid off) It was a 30yr fixed. For the entire time of this mortgage we have never been late. Towards the end of this mortgage the bank held back my payment and told me that was a special favor to us just in case we did not have our funds available. They charged me 32 dollars. When I went it to talk to the bank rep they would not give me my money back. Well after a 2hrs banter between me and the bank manger I still did not get them to give me our money back. My husband and I paid off mortgage right after that month. The bank tried to get us to refinance or take out a home equity loan (just incase we ran into trouble with money). WHAT! i HAD IT WITH THEM. We are mortgage freed and happy with no debt. Love your Channel. Thx Katy

Recently we had a spend our gift cards family night. Supper from Olive Garden to-go, dessert from sweet frog and played some games at a local arcade they we have leftover point on.
The Olive Garden gift card was from our 2nd anniversary (we have been married 13 years now) lol when the gift card is older then your kids it’s time to use it!! 😂

Food waste can be eliminated by feeding it to our chickens. Before we had chickens, I composted our food waste and used it in our garden to enrich the soil.

Hi Kate!! Mine is still coffee out 😮....i try so hard at the start of the month but I always find an acceptable excuse as to why another coffee shop trip is deserved or truly needed 😅...August is my coffee cut down month lol 😆....its not that I dont make my own coffee and take it on my travels....i just like going into the shop and reading my book!! (Usually a book on budgeting of frugal living!!) While im sipping my x hot soya hot choc!!! 😂😂😂.Anyway starting next month im going to be more vigilant and start walking right on by!!
