Thank you very much for your lecture, but I'm still not quite clear about how to distinguish the epistemic modality and dynamic modality. Does dynamic modality focus more on the speaker's action while epistemic modality focus more on the speaker's judgement?

"you may come in now" = dynamic
"you may come here if you wish" = deontic
I do not see the difference as both utterances indicate permission
