I've had some recent evidence that says riposte is in fact melee damage, which means melee quirks can be usable on MAA. I apologize for posting potential minsinformation. Originally I thought riposte was melee, and then I had people tell me it wasn't, but Thick showed me the game code and it does indeed look to be considered melee. Sorry folks. Hope this helps.

Its ok Shuffle, Dismas is the name of the class for me too.

I just realized that the team name The Collection is called that because the MAA, V, HM are the three heads that the collector uses in his fight and the antiquarian is like the collector in this team so cool!

I really enjoy that the old man is prone to dying of stress.

“I would not take this team to the weald. Not-not ever.”
Me, in the Weald with The Wall, in the middle of a 35 turn long collector fight: Ah.

I love how Vestal bringing her NSFW fanfic book to the dungeons helps her stress heal.

It's kind of sad...

Man at arms is so guilt ridden that he focuses too much on guarding his teammates, instead of crushing his enemies. His whole skillset is focused around support, but that causes him to take on too much of the pressure and eventually succumb to it via a heart attack or just being afflicted.

If he let his teammates take on some of the burden, maybe he wouldn't die to stress so easily.

That last effect is a complete joke and I have no idea how that made it into game. It's probably the worst non-downside related effect in the entire game. First, bellow has to hit. Second, it has to debuff. Third, the enemy has to be marked by a different character. Fourth, you bank off a 5% crit increase.

I've been playing DD for almost 2 years now and for a while I wasn't great at it and I'd often just throw teams together and think very surface level about them but you're the reason I started getting better at the game. I would watch your video (and I have to say I love the long tutorials and tier lists cuz I just put 1 on and watch for ages) and you would open my eyes to a lot of fun things that work really well. You've managed to make me enjoy 1 of my favourite games even more.

My main issue with man at arms is that he's a tank in a game where offense is king. A lot of times I'm looking at crusader to fill a similar role but better. Sure he can't guard but why would you spend a turn to protect a squishy rather than simply buffing your team or taking out enemy?

reminder that percentile defenses like dodge get better the more you have of them
If an enemy has a 50% base chance to hit you, a 10 bonus to dodge reduces that to 40%, which is 20% less than before. Another 10 dodge reduces that to 30%, which is 25% less than before.
In other words when's the divina commedia guide shuffle

MAA is the first one to get afflicted, except when there's a Vestal. Vestal will always be the first to reach 100 stress.

Resuming man at arms:

Step 1: Shout at the enemies

Step 2: Shout at allies

Step 3: Repeat rule 1and 2 again

Step 4: in case of problems see step 3

The official story of the man at arms is just a cover up for the fact that he is nick fury

I personally LOVED using Rank 4 MAA for my very first run of Wolves at the Door, on a team of MAA-BH-Occ-Flag. Really made myself vulnerable to stress by giving him his own head, but holy shit was it worth trivializing Vvulf's entire boss mechanic. As it turns out, 40ish damage bombs can't really do shit against 80% PROT and trinket-buffed Reclaim heals. With that taken care of... the fight wasn't _easy, _ but it was certainly manageable given that you're just fighting off straightforward shit like bleed, direct damage, and stress at that point, rather than all of that PLUS a nuclear bomb every round.

Considering he's supposed to be an officer his design is pretty ingenious. He has a lot of things he could be doing but at the end of the day he needs to make a descion. He's most susceptible to stress. and though he can hold his own in melee it's often better to do something to set up a team mate rather than bashing someone with his mace.

MAA was so OP before the damage nerf, with 2 and a vestal I was able to beat [redacted] and [redacted] without using items.

Never knew MAA's skill buffed the whole party, I never used it cause i thought buffing only one person wasn't worth it (it still isn't most of the time) but that's just so much better

I actually tried a 2nd place Vestal today with Guard and her buff provided by Hand of Light and with no crit (if I remember correctly), she could hit up to 27 with Mace Bash on a Bloodsucking enemy. She saved the whole mission almost by herself.
