Hey man - you need to be in tv shows to show parents effective ways to communicate with a child- you have a gift

One of the most important thing I learned at a parenting class was to respect the child. If you show them respect, they learn to respect you and others as well.

It's so hard to unlearn all the years of your own upbringing... I am working on it... In working on it

Might sound dumb but what is helping me is watching Super Nanny reruns on YouTube. There’s so many parents who forget kids thrive under a routine and discipline. Check them out you might find something you can apply to your routine.

You have no idea how much you're helping this single, exhausted, mentally and physically drained mama of two. My 4 yr son has been unbelievably angry lately. Breaking and throwing toys when not getting his way . I'm trying so so hard to handle this the right way. ANY TIPS? 😢😢

The hardest part about this is taking the time. There are so many instances when we're in a rush or have to be in a schedule. Those are the days I find it so hard to not show my anger or take the time to get in their level to talk

Yes. This is the grade A+ approach to initiating effective discipline and corrective action with children. This video truly needs to go viral. Better yet, it should run VERY regularly on television as a public service announcement.

This is so amazing because if you can be calm giving a consequence you are probably not going to acting out of frustration and anger. It's going to help the parents think straight.

You just articulated everything I do when working with special needs children for 10 years. It’s just instinctual for me now and it’s oh so effective in bringing a sense of calm and safety to any situation.

This is GOLD! Thank you! May someone help suggest some healthy consequences where I am able to benefit my child and have them learn more about their own actions and correct themselves?
