The issue with gadgets such as the chef'n yolkster is that it's easy to forget what its for. We have drawers full of oddly shaped plastic kitchen gadgets and it's impossible to tell what half of them do.

The old standby tried and true cracking the egg passing it from one egg shell half to the other, back and forth works every time.

The spill guard reminds me of those stupid videos of people cutting the milk carton for like an entire minute and then it completely just spills in like two streams when they pour the milk

Egg separators are kinda silly. Take a very simple task. Make it seem like a problem, then sell you something that actually makes it more complicated.

the biggest issue I have with all arc lighters is that for whatever reason they don't make the lid flip all the way, there's some things I want to light and that gets in the way and I end up needing to light something else first or grab a regular lighter/match. It's been years and it's STILL a problem. why hasn't a single company fixed this?

For the egg thingy, I think the freshness of the egg (Im vegan so don't know which would be better, fresh or older) and if they were in a fridge would make a big difference to how the white acts.

I’m pretty sure mugs and glasses are spill-safe enough as they are

Try warming the eggs at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes. That should make the egg whites more runny which should help the separation.

I'd be more curious on the Zpillsafe if you used it with a saucepan or skillet to empty fluid or grease. As to what you read, the glass and martini glass were sloped shaped and not totally straight.

Having been a chef, the best option is your own hand. 1. Crack egg into bowl. 2. Scoop out the yolk with your hand. Done and free
