The Troll had a cavity, his arrow removed the bad tooth, now he's at peace. maybe that's why frost trolls are hostile...?

This happens to me fairly often especially when fighting bears. It can be a bit frustrating when a frost troll flees considering their health regenerates after some time.

Here's a tip for anyone trying to fight a frost troll or troll in skyrim in general. Use a torch in your secondary hand and bash the fucker with it, or enchant your bow with fire, heck if you are good at destruction just use fireball or any other higher level fire spell. The little shit can't handle fire, it stopped them from regenerating.
