Growing your own food, especially mushrooms, is a lot of fun. The best part is the harvest!

Today’s harvest was from Shimeji mushrooms. They look nothing like the store bought variety that we cloned these mushrooms from. Yes, that’s right, these were CLONED. All mushrooms are able to be cloned from a tiny piece of the mushroom 🤯

These large mushrooms, usually small and thin in stores, are a clone of their parents, but they were grown under different environmental conditions. That’s why they are much larger than you’d expect.
