The last line of Luke “I’m not like you… not so perfect” and transitions to Rhaenyra’s miserable and vengeful look is the most perfect end both for the show and this edit. The fact that Rhaenyra could’ve been a good Queen but the amount of pain and betrayals she’ll face from this point onwards will seal her fate. In the end she couldn’t be a ‘perfect’ queen.

What is tragic about rhaenyra's life ( beside what's going to happen to her during the dance) is that even when she was named HEIR in front of everyone still that wasn't enough to accept her she needs to fight for what is hers. I'm enjoying your videos so much lately.

I like how the series portrays child birth as it was in the past. Incredibly dangerous to take on knowing so many who died during birthing complications. The scene where she delivers her own child, dead, then swaddles him in burial clothes is one of the most heart wrenching ever portrayed. Then her crowning as queen at her child's funeral shows how much her brilliant mothering was truly seen and respected in the realm. It is a beautiful thing.

Her faith was tragic but I feel that in the Game of thrones and house of the dragon universe bloodlines existing matters the most. It was a cruel faith for her as an individual but she still won the war in the future perspective as it was HER bloodline that continued. It's still a win.

It will never fail to enrage me that Viserys poured nearly two decades into training Rhaenyra to ascend the throne. He trained her, guided her, and set her up for success by passing on wisdom and advice; utilizing teachable moments, impressing the gravity of being ruler was about much more than desire & pleasure. Yet the lords of the realm will argue that Aegon is the better choice because he has a D between his legs? Genitalia has nothing to do with skill and experience, political thinking and diplomacy, or ruling a kingdom. Rhaenyra was educated to be queen. Aegon was left to be a spoiled child who never suffered the consequences of his foul actions. He ends up being a completely sh*t king because he has no idea what he's doing and those around him only see to their own interests. Misogyny caused the dance of dragons, which weakened the Targaryen line for generations. By the time Viserys dies, Rhaenyra has all the trappings to secure a dynasty (numerous sons, a husband with "the right" name, etc). There was no strategic or politicalreason to deny her the crown besides misogyny.
I know why Otto wanted his puppet of a grandson on the throne, but the rest of the realm? Ridiculous.

It’s sad knowing where her life is going. Both our strong female Targaryens, meaning Daenerys and Rhaeynera, such lovable and strong characters that I get so connected too. At least once I’d like a show in this series to have the Targaryen female triumph. The Targaryens are my favorite, I can’t help it lol
