Hey man, I love your reviews and I would like to say thanks for the great videos. Also, you're like the only person left on YT that doesn't make stupid (often misleading) faces for the thumbnails. Please never change!

In the past, my tools needed frequent alignments, I made a “very square” 2x4 block about 8” long from straight grained hardwood scrap to quick check fences and jigs. The block was so useful that I clear coated it. Many years later, that same block is still square, and I still use.

It seems like this saw hits all the right buttons for a contractor saw and a woodworking enthusiast on a tight budget who isn’t afraid of frequent need for adjustment of tolerances. Nice video representation of this machine Mike. 👍

In Greece for the summer, I just riped 24 2x6 boards in half, on the Skil saw, and...not ONE hikup! For it's size/price, the Skil is amazingly good. Just to update everyone on it... :)

Thanks, Mike. The force is with you. My opinion is that is a good saw for someone just starting out. There are some nice features and some detrimental points also; but all in all, it would work.

To keep the cord from falling off push it into that little gap on the prong. Mine has stayed put since I started doing that.

Planning to get a table saw in the next few months. Going to have to decide between this saw and the Skil table saw.

This saw is perfect for beginners, it's not too expensive and as you get more comfortable with your skills, you'll eventually want to move up to a better tablesaw. If you're always looking for perfection or require high-quality professional work, this won't be for you. You'll see how precision can only come from a good quality cabinet tablesaw. Best of luck to all beginners.

Chervon tools makes both Masterforce and Kobalt brands. They also make Ego, Skil, and Flex.

I was looking for a table saw 3 years ago, and found this beauty. This is a hidden gem, indeed.
It has features that many other much more expensive saws do not -- all in one package! Namely: 13A motor, 3.5" max cutting depth, rack-and-pillion fence, dado compatibility, 33" max width, and wheels.
This thing does need adjustment, and in my case, I had to adjust the motor to make the blade parallel to the miter slot.
The fence can be adjusted so that there's zero slack in the guides. As to the fence itself, yeah, you gotta make sure it's perpendicular to the table. I suspect that 3d party clamp-on fence might be what the doctor ordered.

Not a bad saw at all! I don’t have a Menards near me in NJ, but if I did I wonder if I would’ve gotten this over the Dewalt!

Love these reviews! Great job. Would like to see you check out the Metabo HPT 36v table saw at some point.

There seems to be an even lesser known saw than any of the ones you've tested. The grizzly G0870 never seems to get mentioned yet has some features I have never seen on any other jobsite saw. They offer a 10 inch disk sander for the saw and because of this the saw also has variable speed as well. (Full speed for cutting, variable for sanding) and its pretty affordable as well. In a micro shop setting as I have, to get two machines in 1 is an awesome advantage. I've been using mine for 2 years now with probably close to 200 running hours on it without issue. Might want to at least look at it online at their site and think about checking it out.

Side note. I have never run a dado stack on it. I just use my router for the times I have to do that.

Thanks for the videos!

I got a matabo saw that looks nearly identical to this aside from fence and stand differences for 300 bucks at Lowe's a month ago. I have been very pleased with it for the money. I also check it nearly every cut with a square but I don't use it enough to be upset about it.

Im wondering if the silver Phillips head screws on the end of the fence will adjust the fence squareness. So it finds a middle ground after it is repositioned.
